Bluebird Distilling Has Opened a Full-Service Craft Cocktail Bar at The Bourse Food Hall
Bluebird Distilling has brought its first full-service craft cocktail bar and bottle shop to Center City — specifically, to the new and improved Bourse Food Hall on Independence Mall.
Based in Phoenixville, this local distillery has one other Center City location (a bottle shop housed within the Shops at Liberty Place), but until now, its only other bar has been at the distillery itself, which opened in June of 2015.
Now, right in the heart of Philadelphia, Bluebird has claimed a 400 square foot space directly in the middle of the Bourse, complete with 20 seats and the full line of Bluebird Distilling products available for purchase.
Guests will be able to buy bottles of the brand's signature spirits, including Four Grain Bourbon, Rye Whiskey, Juniperus Gin, American Wheat Whiskey, and more, alongside specialty and one-off spirits.
The menu's craft cocktails will be made made with Bluebird spirits, which include classics like Negronis as well as cocktails unique to the Bourse, including twists on Old Fashioneds and entirely new cocktail concepts.
The bar will also have an exciting new feature — a state of the art frozen beverage system, which will make bourbon milkshakes, daiquiris, chilled gin & tonics, and even bourbon-infused beer milkshakes.
“The Bourse food Hall is the ideal location for our second craft cocktail bar,” says Jared Adkins, the founder and master distiller of Bluebird. “Situated across the street from Independence Mall – America’s most historic square mile – this new concept allows us to expand our tasting room experience to the Philadelphia community as well as introduce our spirits to people from all over the world.”
The bar's regular hours will be Monday through Thursday from 12 PM - 10 PM, 11 AM - 12 AM Fridays and Saturdays, and 10 AM - 6 PM on Sundays, so stop by the newly renovated art-deco food hall and grab a bottle or a cocktail from one of Philadelphia's signature distilleries.
