Philadelphia's newest members-only club, Fitler Club, has officially opened its stylish purple door at 2400 Market Street.
Founded by Equinox Hotels veteran David Gutstadt, the private club, which comes with a ton of perks for its members, is the first in a series of similar spots planned worldwide, starting a new legacy of members-only spots that are still accessible, innovative, and fun. With 34,000 square feet in this club alone, there's plenty to explore and do for families and young professionals alike.
“This is a next-level club that reflects a new generation of urban sophisticates. They don’t separate social life, work, and wellness. They’re well-traveled, with exceptionally high standards. And they want to spend time with a like-minded community of other fearlessly creative people,” Gutstadt said. “Fitler Club is an evolutionary concept, and it says a lot about how cities like Philadelphia have evolved. Our members are the leaders, innovators, and influencers creating that change.”

The space is home to tons of features and spaces for members to discover, with opportunities to eat, drink, catch a film, or grab a meal from an acclaimed local chef. The main floor of the space houses two bars, a 50-seat screening room that airs films a few days a week, and a beautiful outdoor deck, which features garage doors that open up when the weather gets nicer.
If you're just in town for a short while or have friends or relatives coming to visit, the club also offers a 14-room luxury hotel, where the suites are equipped with luxurious mini bars, a full set of bar tools, and gorgeous glassware so that you can enjoy a cocktail or glass of wine right in your room. If you're not a member and stay at the hotel, you still get access to everything the club has to offer.

The club's restaurant, which was headed by Kevin Sbraga during its early days, has been handed over to another great Philadelphia chef; specifically, Marc Vetri, whose eponymous Midtown Village prix-fixe restaurant has remained one of the best spots in the city for years. Grab homemade pizzas, pastas, and everything in between from Vetri's carefully crafted menu.

Last but not least, the club features an extremely impressive bar program courtesy of bar manager Jordan Fuller, an alum of spots like Barclay Prime and Giuseppe & Sons who created an impressively diverse and creative bar program between both bars.

Adjacent to the main bar is an enormous wine room, which features vintages carefully chosen by Fuller, but if you're looking for a great cocktail, look no further than Fuller's innovative seasonal creations, which are prepared by an immensely talented bar team. He and his team will be switching up the menus with the change of the seasons, so keep checking in to find your new favorites.

If you haven't tried clarified milk punch yet, Fuller's Schuylkill Punch ($12) is made using Bacardi rum, spiced black tea, citrus, Courvoisier Cognac VS, and seasonal citrus is a worthy addition to the canon.

The Cocktail No. 5 ($10), made with prosecco, mango syrup, and lemon, is a light, fizzy option that is given an hint of savory flavor thanks to Fuller's houseemade za'atar tincture.

If you're looking for a stiffer drink, try The Matador ($16), the bar's take on a Manhattan that's made with brandy, demerara, amontillado, and another housemade tincture made with paprika.

Named, of course, for the club itself, Fuller's take on the classic Clover Club, the Fitler Club ($16) is a well-rounded and perfectly balanced cocktail made with local Bluecoat Gin, lemon, housemade blueberry pepper syrup, egg white, and Angostura bitters.
There's currently a wait list for new members, but go ahead and add your name if you're looking for a new place to escape the hustle and bustle of Philadelphia life. Whether you can snag a hotel room or a full membership, the Fitler Club is absolutely worth checking out, so find your way to their discreet door for a full-service experience that offers exclusivity, great food and cocktails, and more.
