The Four Seasons' JG Skyhigh, Now Open: An Inside Look at their Cocktail Menu
The Four Seasons has finally returned to Philadelphia, and their new space was definitely worth waiting for. Sip your drink and snack on delectable bites above the City of Brotherly Love at JG Skyhigh, which is now open in the Four Seasons at 1 N 19th St.
This iteration of the Four Seasons, which once occupied The Logan on the Benjamin Franklin Parkway, is situated right at the top of Philadelphia, with its lobby on the 60th floor of the Comcast Center.
The hotel houses three different bars and high-end restaurants. Vernick Fish, the second venture from venerated chef Greg Vernick, is right on the ground floor — which isn't covered in this article, but will be covered on Drink Philly soon. You can also head upstairs (and enjoy the view from the elevator) and explore two restaurants as you look down upon the city.
Jean-Georges, the Philadelphia version of the famous New York restaurant from Michelin starred chef Jean-Georges Vongerichten, sits right beneath JG Skyhigh on the building's 59th floor, offering panoramic views of nearly the entire city. (We'll also be covering Jean-Georges in an upcoming profile.)
JG Skyhigh, the hotel's premier cocktail bar, offers classic cocktails as well as new interpretations and small bites, occupying the main part of the floor just past the Four Seasons' lobby. The bar offers plenty of cocktails, wines, and beers by the glass — of their selection, beverage director Jill Davis says, "The biggest thing for me was collaboration with our team and local purveyors, like Bluecoat American Dry Gin. Our biggest goal is to get people who know a lot about topics like rum, bourbon, mixology, and so on, and have them be a part of our team. We've fused Jean-Georges' roots with Philadelphia; this bar is 100% Jean-Georges, but it's also 100% Philadelphia."
All of the cocktails cost $16, and are creative as they are delicious.
