Where to Celebrate the Second Philadelphia Cider Week, October 31-November 8

 
The second Philadelphia Cider Week is being celebrated this year from Thursday, October 31 to Friday, November 8, featuring curated events from some of Philly’s best bars and restaurants and artisanal ciders from orchards around the world. Here are some can't-miss events to attend during this exciting week, and you can check out the full line-up here
 
Night of the Living Cider III: Stronger than the Grave
Thursday, October 31, 7 PM - 11 PM
Kensington Quarters

The opening event for Philly Cider Week is perfectly seasonal, considering it takes place on Hallowe5en; get into the spooky spirit at Kensington Quarters with high-ABV ciders from local Pennsylvania cideries.
 
Pennsylvania Cider Takeover & Special Release
Friday, November 1, 5 PM - 12 AM
Hale & True
Sip on PA ciders, from longtime favorites to rare bottles, at this Queen Village cidery, which will be releasing a special edition cider during the event.
 
Ploughman Bluegrass Cider Party with Chuck Darwin & The Knuckledraggers
Saturday, November 2, 5 PM - 11 AM
Hungry Pigeon
Enjoy Ploughman ciders alongside their house band, Chuck Darwin and the Knuckledraggers, which features Ploughman's Ben Wenk, at this Queen Village hotspot.
 
Cider History Brunch Lecture
Sunday, November 3, 12 PM - 2 PM
Lemon Hill Mansion

Cider historian Mark Turdo will walk history buffs through a talk on cider during the age of Prohibition and how the movement was halted, all alongside cider from Dressler Estate.
 
Cider, Then and Now
Sunday, November 3, 6 PM - 9 PM
Tria Taproom
Tria's Rittenhouse taps-only location will host a historical lecture about the history of Frecon Farms cider, which has been produced since 1944.
 
Basque In The Glow Harvest Dinner
Monday, November 4, 6 PM to 9 PM
Vedge
Vegans, rejoice; this entirely plant-based harvest dinner will feature ciders from Washington D.C.'s Basque-inspired cidery, ANXO, for $85 per person.
 
Frizwit First Monday
Monday, November 4, 5 PM - 8 PM
Musi

If you're an omnivore or carnivore, you can check out Musi BYOB's cider dinner, which features reinvented cheesesteaks from Chef Ari Miller alongside Eden Specialty Ciders. (However, they'll also offer mushroom options for vegetarians.)
 
Cave a Manger: Cidre and Seafood
Tuesday, November 5, 5 PM - 8 PM
The Good King Tavern

Sample rare ciders by the glass at Queen Village's cozy French bistro along with French cheeses like Camembert and freshly shucked oysters.

Dressler Estate 5-Course Pairing
Tuesday, November 5, 6:30 PM - 9 PM
Martha
Head to Kensington and try some of Dressler Estate's signature and rare ciders paired with a comfort food menu that's entirely vegan. The dinner is $55 per person, and seating is limited, so book with haste.
 
Fried Chicken & Cider

Prohibition Taproom
Try a twist on fried chicken — specifically, fried quails — without any gluten whatsoever thanks to Chef Nick Bazik's carefully honed techniques alongside offerings from Embark Craft Ciderworks.
 
Big Hill Happy Hour & Exclusive Collab Release
Wednesday, November 6, 4 PM - 7 PM
Tradesman's
Big Hill Ciderworks and Tradesman's have collaborated on a cider called Farmhouse Peach, so if that piques your interest, stop into this happy hour and try the new cider for yourself.
 
After The Fall New Cidery Launch
Thursday, November 7, 7 PM - 10 PM
Fishtown Social
Pittsburgh-based cidery After the Fall is officially launching its female-fronted brand, and during this event at Fishtown Social, the founder will be on hand to answer questions about her cider.
 
Official Closing Night Event Tasting
Friday, November 8, 7 PM - 10 PM
The Bourse
Fifteen cideries will be on hand for Philly Cider Week's closing event, and food vendors at The Bourse will offer up dishes to pair with all of the available ciders.
