Vernick's original Rittenhouse Square location has a brand new neighbor; its own bottle shop and private event space, Vernick Wine.

Located in a classic Philadelphia brownstone, the bottle shop will also have a private events space, which will seat up to 32 people and offer tailored event menus filled with signature dishes from Chef Greg Vernick's flagship location. (His second effort, Vernick Fish, premiered to citywide acclaim in August when it opened on the ground floor of the new Four Seasons Hotel.)

As for the bottle shop, you'll now be able to buy carefully curated bottles next door to Vernick — the selection was crafted by Ray Gazdzinski, the wine director of Vernick, as well as his staff, and it includes over 100 different bottles, with everything from natural wines to ciders, sherry, and vermouth. As an added bonus, the prices are pretty affordable – some are as low as $15 per bottle.

Philadelphia is experiencing a major wine boom right now, and Vernick Wine is an ideal next step for curated bottle shops in the city, so stop in to get a gift or just a bottle to enjoy for yourself.
