Yards Cape of Good Hope Seasonal Announced
Yards Brewing Company has announced that they'll be releasing this' year's batch of Cape of Good Hope, a short-run seasonal, on August 1st. Only 150 barrels of it are being produced and sent to market, including a very small run of bottles. Steve Mashington of Yards has stated, " We anticipate it to sell out fast, so stock up when you see it.”
The Cape of Good Hope Expedition 2011 is an unfiltered and aged Imperial Pale Ale. It's been brewed with Nugget hops and then double dry hopped with Ahtanum. Clocking in at 8.3% ABV, it will be sold in 1/2 and 1/6 kegs, as well as cases.
They've said they'll be tweaking the beer recipe year to year, adding to the "one-shot" nature of this brew. Drink up now, because you won't have another opportunity to try this seasonal.
Cape of Good Hope is best consumed fresh, though it has been suggested that it will mature well.
