Bourbon. It goes so well in evening cocktails as you’re winding down after work. Or perhaps as a nightcap. Or with a cigar, beside a fireplace on a chilly evening. But first thing in the morning for brunch? Yup.

According to Farmers’ Cabinet bar manager Phoebe Esmon and cocktail charmer Al Sotack of The Franklin Mortgage & Investment Co., brunch and bourbon now go hand-in-hand. To prove the point, they’ll be pulling themselves out of bed early this Sunday in order to mix up a bowl of bourbon punch, which will be served at noon at Farmers’ Cabinet at the low, low price of absolutely free!

Head over to the Walnut Street speakeasy/brew hall on February 26 to get a sip, which will feature the smooth flavors of Angel’s Envy Bourbon, aged over five years in oak barrels and finished in port pipes. Pair your ladleful with their new brunch food specials for a Weekend afternoon to remember.
