Alcoholic Dessert Treats
The weather continues to stay warm so we continue to search for ways to stay cool. Try one of these delicious alcoholic dessert drinks. You never know, they could prevent you from having a heat stroke. It's always good to be safe, just in case.
- Bobby Flay’s West Philly burger restaurant offers both virgin and spiked milkshakes. We only care about the ones that have alcohol though and those are the Vanilla Caramel Bourbon, Pineapple Coconut Rum, and Mocha Kahlua Vodka.
Capogiro
- West Philly’s Capogiro recently won a “Best of Philly” award for its sorbet and alcohol combos.
- The Northern Liberties burger joint offers nine different alcoholic shakes for $10 a piece. The ?uestlove, created by the man himself, has vanilla ice cream, frangelico, & Irish cream liquer.
- The Manayunk beer bar offers a number of beer floats that change from week to week. Some recent examples include the Irish Coffe Float (Guinness Foreign Extra and coffee ice cream) and Oatmeal Cookie (Sixpoint Otis and Vanilla Ice Cream)
- This summer Village Whiskey started offering three spiked shakes: the Irish Car Bomb (Negra Modelo, Bailey’s, and Jameson in a vanilla and chocolate ice cream mixture), Strawberry-Rum (strawberry sauce, ice cream, and strawberries and Gosling’s), and S’mores (toasted marshmellow ice cream, chocolate sauce, marshmallow, and a graham cracker)
- Starr’s Center City modern-Mexican (alliteration anyone?) restaurant offers a few frozen drinks but the standout is the Frozen Blood Orange Margarita.
