Twisted Tail Happy Hour Review
If you happen to be out and about Sunday through Thursday between 10pm and 12am, you should check out The Twisted Tail's late night happy hour.
All of the drafts that are listed with 3 prices ($5.5 for a draft, $21 for a ½ gallon, and $40 for a gallon) are available for consumption, with drafts on this list coming in at half-price for happy hour. The beer selection for this deal is most definitely worth the while. At the time of this writing, they had beers such as: Weinstepphaner, Yards, Rogue Dead Guy, Carlsberg Lager, Docs Hard Apple Cider, Abita Light, Jockamo IPA (American IPA), Yuengling Lager, Left Hand Sawtooth and Terrapin Rye.
If drinking isn't enough, there's a ½ off Raw Bar Special that includes Oysters (normally $12 for a half dozen), Shrimp Cocktail (normally $10 dollars for three jumbo shrimp), Cherry Stone Clams (normally $9 for a half dozen), and a Shellfish Tower (normally $35 for large).
The Twisted Tail, which has only been open for a few weeks, prides itself on presentation. Once happy hour fiends come through the entrance they're treated to dim lighting, a bar at the center and tables surrounding the rest of the room. Upstairs boasts an old west atmosphere with a modern mix of live blues, cozy sofas, flat screen TV's, and another room with a full bar, turning stools, and most importantly, cowboy hats and rope.
The 1st floor attracts a diverse crowd, from the “bro-y” guys to professionals of all ages. The second floor is clearly geared towards lovers of live music in Philadelphia.
Once word gets out on this place, it's going to become a very popular.
