Bars and Restaurants Can Restock Direct at Philadelphia Distilling
Because of Hurricane Sandy, the Pennsylvania Liquor Control Board shuttered all Wine & Spirits stores throughout Pennsylvania yesterday, and the closure of the more that 600 outposts continues today (Tuesday). What are bars and restaurants looking to reopen now to sate hundreds of thirsty Philadelphians to do?
Order up some local booze direct from Philadelphia Distilling! Master distiller and partner Rob Cassell reached out to ask us to remind establishments that they do not need to go through the PLCB to stock up. The ability for liquor makers in PA to sell direct was established thanks to last year’s passage of HB232, a bill Cassell worked hard on. Governor Corbett signed the bill into law last December.
Any bars and restaurants that would like to get their hands on some Bluecoat Gin, XXX Shine Whiskey, Vieux Carre Absinthe or Penn 1681 Vodka today can reach out to a Philadelphia Distilling sales rep or tweet at Rob at @phillydistiller to make arrangements. There’s no limit on the quantity you can buy, and bottles or cases can be picked up at the Northeast facility or even delivered, if you pre-pay for your order.
