McCrossen's Hosts New Zealand Winemaker for Decibel Vintage Release Party, January 10
Native Philadelphia Daniel Brennan hails from a Sicilian family that was involved in the Philly restaurant business when he was growing up, so his interest in food and wine goes way back. He’s now the owner of his own New Zealand label, Decibel Wines, and will be visiting McCrossen’s Tavern on Thursday, January 10 for a vintage release party.
Brennan will join sommelier Lauren Harris for a tasting event from 7–10 PM. Guests can sample side-by-side tastes of 2009 and 2011 vintages of Decibel’s Sauvignon Blanc or Malbec for $7 per two three-ounce pours. All of these wines are single vineyard (grapes sourced from one plot of land), and hail from the N.Z. regions of Hawke’s Bay and Martinborough.
Chef Townsend Wentz will prepare several special Mediterranean dishes to complement the sips, so head over to Fairmount for an evening of wine tasting, knowledge and down under fun.
