Jason Cichonski Throws a 'Top Chef' Finale Viewing Party at His New Bar The Gaslight, Wed., Feb. 5
Getting booted from Top Chef early is hardly keeping Jason Cichonski from moving forward on his latest project, The Gaslight, the bar he quietly opened a few days ago in the former home of Philadelphia Bar & Restaurant in Old City. And it’s certainly not something that has him holding a grudge either.
In fact, he’s hosting a Top Chef Finale viewing party at the brand-spanking new joint on Wed., Feb. 5 starting at 8 PM. As you’ll see in the preview clip pasted below, Cichonski gets called up for the season’s last episode to lend hand to his homie, Nick Elmi, who’s still in for the running for the title of Top Chef.
Sadly, Elmi won’t be there. Nor will he be at his East Passyunk Ave. BYOB Laurel. As one of this season’s finalists, he will be in New York to appear on Bravo’s Watch What Happens Live. Still, there’s a very good chance that former Top Cheftestant Jen Carroll will drop by, since she and Cichonski are pretty chummy. And Top Chef champion Kevin Sbraga, who owns Center City’s Sbraga and University City’s The Fat Ham, could possibly make an appearance too.
Specials for tonight’s party include $5 hot and specialty cocktails, and a bunch of craft beer and wine deals too. The specials start running at 8 PM and go until the finale’s start at 10 PM.
