Beer Outlet and restaurant Hawthorne's Cafe (738 S. 11th St.) is hosting a “Keep The Growler Night,” featuring New Holland Brewing Company on May 24th from 7pm-10pm.

The rules of the event are pretty straightforward – buy the beer, and you'll get a 64oz. growler that is yours to keep. 5 different styles will be offered that evening: Golden Cap Saison, Mad Hatter IPA, Poet Oatmeal Stout, Full Circle Kolsch, Sundog Amber. Prices are estimated at around $15-18.

Hawthornes has become one of the growler hotspots in town, offering a wide selection of beer at reasonable prices. Their growlers are also guaranteed to stay fresh for 7-9 months before opening, leaving hesitant buyers with a little more confidence that they don't have to drink that jug of delicious right away.

Hawthornes also runs a “Growler Rewards program” which rewards you for every 20 growler refills.

Regular dinner service will be scheduled during the Keep the Growler event.
