Many historians point to brewing as one of the seeds from which civilization and society grew. Today, beer outsells the next most popular adult beverage — wine — by a four-to-one margin, and dominates nearly every industry in terms of advertising dollars spent. You can’t leave your house or see a TV screen without being aware of beer. Similarly, the release of Star Wars in 1977 continues to shape sci-fi and pop culture, film marketing, toy making and an endless stream of internet memes. In a 2001 census, over 390,000 residents of the UK listed their religion as ‘Jedi’, making it the fourth largest religious affiliation in the country.
