6) Both adhere to strict rules and established dogma
You can’t just start fermenting a bunch of stuff and call it beer. You can’t just grab a light saber and call yourself a Jedi. (This is not ‘Nam, Smokey, there are rules here.) To carry the title of Jedi, one must adhere the tenets of the Jedi Code. To call your concoction beer, it should at least come close to adhering to the Reinheitsgebot, better known as the German Purity Laws of 1516. This Holy Doctrine proclaimed what we know as beer could only contain water, barley, and hops, and though the craft brew movement has evolved to use many other ingredients, this is still the basis. Scholars also believe this document established that a Brewmaster may only take on one Padawan at a time.
