Flying Fish F.U. Sandy Debuts Across Philadelphia, February 16
The limited release beer Flying Fish created to generate proceeds for Superstorm Sandy relief is ready to go. Forever Unloved (F. U.) Sandy is a hybrid wheat beer and pale ale, brewed with experimental hops, and it will be available to taste for the first time this weekend.
On Saturday, February 16, you’ll find F. U. Sandy at Hawthornes (where it will be tapped at 9 AM when the cafe opens for a beer brunch), Nodding Head, Philadelphia Bar and Restaurant and Varga Bar. On Sunday, February 17, Good Dog will tap a keg, and will also be pouring Exit 16, a hoppy, citrusy wild rice double IPA. Also on Sunday, Varga Bar will host a Flying Fish tap takeover, with several of the New Jersey breweries offerings on draft.
Head out to sample the new beer, not only for its uniqueness, but also because sales of F. U. Sandy will go directly to a charity helping restore the Jersey Shore. (The charity has yet to be determined; Flying Fish is soliciting nominations via social media). Let us know how the beer is if you try it.
