Apparently The War On Drugs' Robbie Bennett and Dave Hartley Drink and Eat Just Like the Rest of Us
Spotify-affiliated music and food app Supper caught up with Robbie Bennett and Dave Hartley from Philadelphia’s spacey indie rock avatars The War on Drugs to get word on where and what the two drink and eat when back on their home turf.
Surprisingly, they drink and eat just like the rest of us.
As a Fishtown yokel, Hartley gives props to his favorite haunt Loco Pez, where he recommends the kitschy Mexican joint’s Nachos de Kenzo paired with tequila, cursing and heated pinball action.
Bennett gives it up for his local tappy, Johnny Brendas, where he says he enjoys burgers, beers and cheap shots of Heaven Hill. He also sings praises for JB’s neighbor Pizzeria Beddia, where he says you can enjoy a “perfect night in Philly” with a couple bottles of wine, friends and proprietor Joe Beddia’s white pizza with sausage and swiss chard.
