Tall Ships Tavern Reopens for the Summer With the Small Ships Festival, July 23-26

by Drink Philly on Jul 20, 2015 in Events

Everyone had so much fun the first time around, we’re reopening the Tall Ships Tavern for the remainder of the summer! Drink Philly and the Independence Seaport Museum will continue to host the second-story beer garden through Labor Day Weekend.

Guests can continue to enjoy great views of the waterfront as well as craft beer and great cocktails. Sip on beers from Victory and Troegs, cocktails featuring Sailor Jerry’s, New Amsterdam Vodka, Crabbie’s Ginger Beer, and Tullamore Dew, and wine from Canyon Road.

Eat-A-Pita will be serving pitas on Friday, July 24. Choose a white or wheat pita and fill it with an assortment of fresh veggies, meats, and dressings for a deliciously fresh snack.

The Tavern will continue to be family friendly with activities for kids and adults every weekend. Each weekend’s activities will revolve around a different theme. This weekend, July 23–26, be sure to catch the Small Ships Festival.

Now that the Tall Ships have sailed out, the Small Ships have moved in. The Small Ships Festival will feature a fleet of model ships from the Philadelphia Ship Model Society alongside the World’s Smallest Rubber Duck. You can also build your own model at the festival and enter it into the Small Boats Regatta.

Stay tuned for more information about each week’s activities.

Hours for the Tall Ships Tavern will be Thursdays from 5–10 PM, Fridays from 5–11 PM, Saturdays from 12–11 PM, and Sundays from 12–7 PM.
