Memorial Day Events

Happy Memorial Day Weekend, everybody! Below, we've compiled a short list of events in case your barbeque fell through, or you just feel like doing something different.

If your barbeque DIDN'T fall through, call us. We want burgers.

Sunday, May 29th

Franklin Square Memorial Day Celebration

Where: Franklin Square (200 North 6th Street)
Time: 12pm-3pm
Cost: Pay As You Go

Ride the Lighting Bolt Express around the Square, enjoy face painting (just Saturday and Sunday), plus fun and games on the Great Lawn.

While you're here, you're probably going to want to enjoy a delicious burger or milkshake from Stephen Starr's Squareburger. Justin once ate one and had a whole milkshake, then went back for a second burger. He was way too full, but it was definitely worth it.

Specials at Drinker's West and Taco Eating Contest

Where: Drinker's West
When: 3pm-11pm
Cost: Pay As You Go

Starting at 3pm, there will be Baggo, Wiffleball, $1 Sliders, Dogs and Tacos and $1 Milwaukee's Beast Light Drafts all the way 'til 11pm.

Oh yeah, there's also a Taco Eating Contest at 7pm. It's $15 to enter and that gets you all the tacos you can handle. The winner will walk away with $529 cash. If you want to go for the "Drinker's Taco Challenge," it's 33 tacos in 13 minutes. Good luck!

Wine Tasting at Chaddsford Winery

Where: Chaddsford Winery (632 Baltimore Pike, Chadds Ford, PA 19317)
When:  11pm-6pm
Cost: $10 Wine Tasting, includes souvenir logo glass

The winery will be open for a casual day of wine tastings and picnicking on our picturesque property. Come out for a wine tasting in the cellar and then relax and picnic on the grounds to light acoustic guitar music on the patio from 11 a.m. - 6 p.m. Wine Tasting Fee $10, includes souvenir logo glass.
