Square 1682 Greatest Hits Wine Dinner
On Tuesday evening, September 27, chef Guillermo Tellez is playing his greatest hits. Happily for fans of food and drink, these hits are culinary in nature, coming in the form of dinner at the posh Square 1682 (in the Hotel Palomar). Each dish on the seven-course menu has been a favorite of dinner guests when served at past events, so the meal is sure to be a crowd-pleaser, and each course is paired with a carefully considered glass of wine.
A reception starts at 6:30 PM, where the libation of choice will be the sparkling Pascual Toso Brut from Argentina. Dinner begins at 7 PM with bacon-wrapped dates and a 2009 Montes “Cherub” Rose of Syrah, and continues through charred octopus, lobster paella, tuna, duck sausage, halibut and more, matched with assorted varietals from California, Argentina and Chile. The entire event is just $65 per person, and a few reservations remain. Check out the full menu, below, and call the restaurant at 215-563-5008 to save your spot.
