Fish Happy Hour
If you're in the mood for seafood, wine, great beer and cocktails you should probably stop by Fish at 17th and Lombard for happy hour.
Their happy hour menu is categorized into Wine ($7), 2 select beers for only $3, and a $6 Seasonal Cocktail Selection.
In terms of food, Fish prides itself on being a worthy and notable seafood restaurant. During Happy Hour, they serve two types of oysters for $1.50 apiece. The oysters are served fresh on the half-shell, and on my particular visit they served Ninengret Cup and Sunset Beach. For those who like to have vodka, tequila, or any other kinds of liquor with their seafood, Fish also serves Oyster shooters. For food during Happy Hour, there's the choice of their snacks or a select Mussel dish for $6.
When walking into Fish be prepared to be completely immersed in the décor that is Rittenhouse Square. Fish's small downstairs frame along with the inviting attitudes of a helpful staff make for an enjoyable, relaxed experience that gives of a neighborly feel with a mix of class and taste that doesn't leave “outsiders” bitter. The service was great and the staff gladly answered questions about the menu.
Those wandering around looking for the usual bar food will be sorely disappointed. Fish's happy hour is rather low key on the weekdays and gets busier towards the weekends.
