This Friday, Northern Liberties-based Yards Brewing Company is having a smokefest – a smoked beer festival, that is. The third annual Smoke ‘Em If Yous Got ‘Em goes down on September 23 from 4:30–8 PM, featuring smoky eats and drinks from a variety of establishments. 30 different rauchbiers will be pouring, including offerings from Brooklyn Brewing, Dark Horse, Evil Twin, Iron Hill, Sly Fox, Victory, Yards and many more.

To accompany the drinks, there will be a barbecue competition, where both amateur and professional entrants (including the pitmasters at Percy Street Barbecue, The Smoke Truck and Brauhaus Schmitz) will prepare their tastiest and smokiest meats. A selection of other smoky favorites (cheese? cigars?) will be available as well.

Regular tickets go for $50 each, and include unlimited brew samples, food from the contestants, live music and a commemorative glass (day-of tix are $60, and designated drivers can attend the party for $25).
