Bierstube Hosts Manager of Weihenstephaner, Germany's Oldest Brewery, May 18

Weihenstephaner is the world’s oldest brewery, with the hop garden there first mentioned in a document from 768 A.D., and the beer from the former abbey in Bavaria is very highly rated. The German brewery’s export manager, Marcus Englet, is making his first trip to the States this weekend, and Bierstube is playing host.

From 6–9 PM, stop by the Old City beer bar to try five different Weihenstephaner brews on draft:
Vitus (a weizenbock)
Hefeweissbier Dunkel
Korbinian (a doppelbock)
Kristallweissbier
Pilsner

You’ll get to chat with Englet about beer history and beer culture around the world, plus you’ll probably leave with a brewery glass or some kind of Bavarian souvenir. That’s all in addition to sipping some of the best German beers around, from from the taps.
