Celebrate the Royal Crown with British Beers and Bites, July 15

With the first Royal Baby’s -- that’s Prince George to you-- second birthday around the corner, New Jersey women and beer group Beer for Babes-Barley’s Angels is celebrating with an appropriately British beer and appetizer pairing happening Wednesday, July 15.

Held at Haddonfield BYOB The British Chip Shop, the event-- open to all women interested in learning about Beer for Babes or just looking to embrace Anglophilia-- gives guests a selection of six British plates that aren’t normally found in local bars like Welsh Rarebit, marmite chicken wings, curried cheese chips, and more. Women are encouraged to head to their local liquor store and pick up a British beer they’ve come to love or are interested in sampling and bring a six pack for sharing.

The tasting will be led by Chip Shop owner Ed Strojan, who will lead a discussion about the plates presented and what beers go best with each. It’s also an opportunity to learn about the group, which holds events up and down the state throughout the entire year to promote education and appreciation of craft beer from both inside and outside of the industry.
