Prepare your rocks glasses: Rowhouse Spirits will be releasing its first barrel-aged liquor this coming Thursday, November 12, in the form of (e) Malt Whiskey. (e) will be the first whiskey in 30 years to be created (fermented, distilled, bottled, and aged) entirely in Philadelphia, and furthermore, there’s only one barrel being made at this time, which means there are just 50 bottles up for grabs.
The name (e) comes from distillery owner Dean Browne’s name having that extra “e” tacked on at the end, as well as the concept of American whisk(e)y vs. Scotch whiskey. The bottles will be $50 apiece and will likely go fast, so hurry to the distillery on Frankford to grab one on Thursday between 12 and 6 PM.
