Hill Farmstead Among Rare Beers and Wines Flowing at Tria Cafes and Taproom, Nov. 24 & 27
Tria has a busy week ahead of them, with a beer event happening today, Tuesday, November 24, and Black Friday celebrations all day a few days from now.
Hill Farmstead is a small brewery in upstate Vermont that produces small amounts of life-changingly good beer, and Tria Taproom will tap four of their beers today, Tuesday, November 24 -- specifically, their Dorothy, Excursions #1 IPA, Arthur, and Harlan IPA brews -- from noon until the kegs are good and kicked.
Black Friday brings even more specials with it, as the Tria cafes at Washington Square, Rittenhouse, and Fitler Square will feature a “black wine” known as Alicante Bouche, which is made with deep red-fleshed teinturier grapes. Glasses will go for a reduced price of $10, and it can be paired with a black-wax wrapped Triple Jack cheese from The Farm at Doe Hill Run.
If you’re more into beer, head over to the Taproom, where they’ll be tapping two black lagers known as Schwarzbiers, which are best described as “the love child of Pilsner and Stout.” They’ll be serving Köstritzer Schwarzbier, a German-brewed Schwarzbier, for a reduced price of $4, alongside the American-made Sprecher Black Bavarian for $3.50.
Black Friday specials will run from noon to late night, so be sure to stop by amidst your post-turkey shopping for a rare brew or bottle.
