Where to Find Drink Specials Honoring the 116th Army-Navy Game

This Saturday, December 12, the Army-Navy Game returns to the Linc. The Army-Navy football rivalry dates back to November 29, 1890. On that day, the teams squared off for the first time on The Plain at West Point. 125 years later, the two teams will face off for the 116th Army-Navy Game in our historic city of Philadelphia. The game has been played in Philly since 1899 when the city was chosen as neutral grounds for the teams.

And what better way to celebrate an old rivalry than with a drink or two? Here’s a look at where to grab a drink special before or after the 3 PM kickoff.

While this Rittenhouse bar might not have TVs to watch the game live, you can enjoy a nice Army Navy Cocktail before or after the game. This drink is typically made with London Dry gin, lemon, and orgeat. (135 S 18th St.; 215-825-7035)

This Rittenhouse lounge will have the game playing on the TVs and will also be serving up The Army Navy Cocktail all weekend long. (1522 Walnut St.; 267-350-0000)

If you’re going to the College GameDay broadcast, continue on to the Navy Yard where Lo Spiedo will open at 11 AM on Saturday. Enjoy $1 wings while you sip on The Army Navy Cocktail. Come in with a ticket to the game and get a $5 burger. Additionally, Lo Spiedo always offers a 10% military discount.
(4503 S Broad St., Building 500; 215-282-3184)

Square 1682
Grab some tailgating specials in Rittenhouse where Square 1682 will offer $12 Army, Navy, and Philly burgers and $5 beer specials leading up to the game. Specials end here at 5:30 PM. (121 S 17th St.; 215-563-5008)

The Trestle Inn
Enjoy $7 Toddys on Friday, December 11, and Saturday, December 12, from 5–10 PM at The Trestle Inn. Choose from Toddys like The Hot Sailor with Sailor Jerry Spiced Rum and spiced butter, The Hot Farmboy with Laird’s Bonded Apple Brandy and spiced butter, and The Hot Cowboy with Old Forester Kentucky Bourbon and spiced butter. If those don’t suit you, try The Hot Cop or The Hot Aztec. The Hot Cop is a mix of Jameson and a spicy apple blend, while The Hot Aztec mixes San Dimas Mezcal Reposado with cayenne cocoa. (339 N 11th St.; 267-239-0290)

While this cozy locale might not have TVs, it will be serving up The Army Navy Cocktail all weekend for your drinking pleasure. (2031 Walnut St.; 267-639-6644)

College GameDay is back in Philly! This time, the ESPN show will broadcast live from 9–11 AM at Xfinity Live!. Don’t forget to bring your sign. (1100 Pattison Ave.; 855-406-4119)
