The Logan Hotel Opens Assembly Rooftop Bar With Incredible Views of the Parkway

The Logan Hotel is adding a new bar to its collection — on Saturday, April 30, Assembly will open on The Logan’s rooftop.

Assembly, which sits on the Logan’s northernmost rooftop, will feature glass barriers that provide stunning views of Philadelphia’s skyline and famous spots like City Hall, the Art Museum, and Fairmount Park.

Because the space offers both an indoor and outdoor terrace, part of the rooftop will be open year round — specifically, the 35-seat indoor lounge, which houses the bar itself. The outdoor terrace, which has room for 150 guests, will be open daily during the warmer months. There will be plenty of seating throughout the space, including high-tops, rails, and customizable “lounge pods” that can accommodate 12 guests, two of which are adjacent to fire-pits for chilly nights.

The bar will offer a comprehensive selection, but its real focus is on champagne, and accordingly, it will feature an extensive selection of champagne cocktails alongside champagnes by the glass and bottle. Champagnes by the bottle will include refined options like Krug Brut 1998, champagnes by the glass include Veuve Clicquot Yellow Label and Grand Vintage Rosé Möet & Chandon.

The champagne cocktail list is where things get really interesting. All of the cocktails are on draft and include choices from a classic Aperol Spritz to the Prince of Wales (Rittenhouse rye, maraschino, and broiled pineapple). For each champagne cocktail, guests can choose between 4 different champagnes to serve as the base, which range in rarity, price point, and taste. If you’re not a fan of champagne, you can check out the bar’s excellent beer and wine lists instead.

Light, seasonal bites will accompany the champagne, with options like baked brie, nectarines and ricotta, fresh oysters, tuna tartare, a mezze plate, and charcuterie.

If you’re looking to head to Assembly, use the devoted entrance on the Parkway, where there will be hosts both on the ground floor and at the lounge entrance to manage the space. Though they do accept some reservations (mostly for groups), if you decide to walk in and it’s a bit full, simply head downstairs to The Commons or Urban Farmer while you wait.

Assembly will be open Monday through Thursday starting at 5 PM and Friday through Sunday starting at 3 PM

Philly’s got a new place to drink outside and it’s got a great view, so once April 30 rolls around, make the Assembly your new summer spot.
