Di Bruno Bros. has a brand new bottle shop at their Franklin location. The bottle shop will be run by Jeffrey Dimaio, a certified sommelier, cicerone (beer professional), and cheesemonger, and his vast array of cheese and beer knowledge will certainly create delicious pairings at the new shop. The Bottle Shop will feature four rotating taps for folks dining in as well as growler fills for carryout. The opening tap list includes local beers Brotherly Suds 7, Yards Cape of Good Hope, Victory/Stone/Dogfish Head Saison du Buff, and Weyerbacher Blood Orange Tarte Nouveau. The shop’s first brew collaboration is with Dock Street Brewery, a Truffle Honey Saison, which is made with Di Bruno’s own truffle honey.
There will be a seating area and menu for patrons to order charcuterie and accompaniments such as olives and nuts. Customers can also order a select cheese flight of the day, crafted from one of Di Bruno’s 300 globally produced cheeses, to pair with a beer flight of the day. $30 will also get you the “Temple of Awesomeness and Delight” (a name graciously given to the cheese shop by Anthony Bourdain), which is a giant three-story cheese and meat tower.
A vast array of craft bottles will be offered for take out, along with to-go cheese plates already packaged and labeled to pair with different styles of beer. The shop will also hold plenty of sampling events and beer & cheese trivia nights, so keep an eye out on their website for events!
The location of the shop is 834 Chestnut St and it will be open Monday to Friday 7 AM - 8 PM, Saturdays 7 AM - PM, and Sundays 7 AM - 6 PM.
