Philly Beer Week is Back for its 10th Year, June 2-11
Philly Loves Beer is bringing back Philly Beer Week for its tenth anniversary from Friday, June 2 to Sunday, June 11.
Philly’s legendary, beer-focused week will kick off, as it always does, with the Hammer of Glory Relay, which will lead into Opening Tap at the Fillmore on June 1. From then on, bars around the city will be hosting a number of Beer Week events, including new concepts like like the Philly Loves Beer Garden (hosted by the Uptown Beer Garden) and returning favorites like the Tailgate Olympics (Devil’s Den) and Fishtown’s FestivALE.
“Looking back at 10 years, I have to admit Philly Beer Week has exploded beyond my wildest expectations,” says Tom Peters, a co-founder of Philly Beer Week and proprietor of Monk’s Cafe. “The first year I remember saying I’d be really happy if we had 20 participants and 30 events. Now, there are Beer Weeks all over the world and we are proud Philadelphia once again was leading the charge. It’s been a remarkable ride and stunning achievement!”
