Jose Pistola's Opening New Bar in the Former Palladino's Space on East Passyunk This Fall
Ever since Palladino’s closed, the space has been left empty, but now we have excellent news about what will be taking over the space. The team behind Jose Pistola’s and Sancho Pistola’s — Joe Gunn, Casey Parker, Adan Trinidad, and longtime manager Adam Anderson — will open Pistola’s del Sur on East Passyunk, according to Philly.com.
Thanks to the retro, diner-style feel of the building, the team says the decor will be “trippy, sexy, and awesome,” and their first report on the kitchen is that while the pizza oven will be used for Mexican pizza, while the wood-burning grill will not be used at all.
The team is aiming for a September 1 opening, and we’ll update with more information as it becomes available, but South Philly getting a Pistola’s outpost is exciting news no matter what.
