This Theatre Company Will Perform Shakespeare's 'Twelfth Night' While Drinking Beer, July 8

The Manayunk Theatre Company is bringing back its popular ShakesBEER show, where inebriated performers will put on a free Shakespearean show, on Saturday, July 8 from 6 PM - 7:30 PM.
In Pretzel Park in Manayunk, tipsy actors will perform the Bard’s summertime comedy Twelfth Night as a staged reading — and this particular play, with its genderbent identities, rampant miscommunication, love triangles, and overall foolishness, is perfectly paired with a few brews.
Audience members are welcome to drink along with the actors, as beer will be available for pay-as-you-go rates, and are encouraged to bring a blanket to sit on during the show. Don’t miss out on this unique opportunity to watch actors drink through one of the English language’s most famous plays — surely, Shakespeare himself would be pleased.
