As the birthplace of America, so Philadelphia is the perfect place to celebrate Independence Day, so skip the shore traffic and head to any of these bars or special events to celebrate your freedom.

Citizens Bank Park
Catch a ball game at Citizens Bank Park this holiday weekend. The Phillies are playing the Nationals on Friday at 7:05 PM, Saturday at 6:05 PM and Sunday at 1:35 PM. The Phils will also be playing the Orioles on Tuesday at 7:05 PM and Wednesday at 4:05 PM. The Friday and Saturday games will feature fireworks. The Great Plaza at Penn’s Landing

Local food trucks, two live music stages, activities for kids, and the newly opened Bourse food hall will be fuel the festivities for this daylong festival. Make sure to head to Independence Hall at 7 PM to cap off the day with a free performance by the Philly POPS.
