Two Chicago Bartenders Are Hosting Pop Up Events in Philly at ITV & The Franklin, August 5 & 7

Two Chicago bartenders — Brandon Thrash of Bad Hunter and Scott Kitsmiller of Three Dots and a Dash — are bringing their skills to Philly for two cocktail events on Sunday, August 5 and Tuesday, August 7.

As former Philadelphia bartenders (Thrash worked at Townsend and Vedge, and Kitsmiller worked at The Franklin), the two are eager to bring their newfound expertise back to the East Coast, and will be taking over two venerable Philly bars on two separate nights.

On Tuesday, August 7, Thrash and Kitsmiller will guest bartend for the evening at ITV, offering a menu that combines two current trends: low-ABV cocktails and high-proof tiki cocktails, which means whimsical garnishes and large-format cocktails. 

Also, on Sunday, August 5, The Franklin will host Thrash and Kitsmiller from 10 PM - 2 AM for a "No Ice" Pop Up, wherein the cocktail menu will feature drinks made entirely without the use of ice to either chill or dilute. All proceeds and tips will go to the United Way of Genesee County's Flint Water Fund.

Both events are free and open to the public, so be sure to stop by, welcome both bartenders back to Philly, and test out their creations at these two unique events.
