Where to Celebrate Bastille Day 2019 in Philadelphia

On July 14, 1789, the French stormed the Bastille and declared a revolution. From that day forward, it has given Americans a great reason to continue the blue, white, and red party – just 10 days after our own independence celebration – to show support for our allies across the Atlantic.

Friday, July 12 - Sunday, July 14
Royal Boucherie
Nick Elmi's Old City brasserie is hosting a full weekend of Bastille Day activities. Stop by on Friday for a French themed happy hour from 5 PM - 7 PM, enjoy a burlesque show on Saturday at 8 PM, and brunch on Bastille Day from 12 PM - 4 PM with a decadent spread that includes strong drinks, rich food, and even plenty of wigs.

Saturday, July 13, 1 PM-10 PM
Bastille Day Party in Fairmount
You can still celebrate Bastille Day on Fairmount Avenue for its 25th year of Francophilia. Head to the block party that begins at 22nd Street and Corinthian Avenue and enjoy Kronenberg beers, plenty of local food, games, crafts, live music, a photo booth, family friendly entertainment, and more. (22nd & Corinthian Ave.)

Sunday, July 14, 12 PM-6 PM
Bastille Day Block Party
Good King Tavern
Queen Village's favorite French bistro has expanded since last year, encompassing Kater Street between 6th & 8th Streets and 7th Street between South & Bainbridge Street. Look for Kronenberg beers, Lo-Fi spirits, Hale & True ciders, and Love City Brewing beers as well as outdoor games and plenty of family friendly activities. Of course, the tavern itself will be open all day as well. (Kater St. Between 6th and 8th, and 7th between South and Bainbridge)

Sunday, July 14
French Wine Specials
Vintage Wine Bar
All day on Bastille Day, enjoy specials on French Wine at Midtown Village's coziest wine bar. While you're there, try a French wine flight for $24, French 75s and escargot, and 10% off all bottles of French wine.

Sunday, July 14, 10 AM - 5 PM
Bastille Day Party

Parc
Of course the most Parisian spot in Philadelphia is throwing a block party for Bastille Day, and it will feature family-friendly activities, food and drink, and a one-day only art installation alongside Rittenhouse Square where guests can take photos to hang on a "lock bridge" like the one in Paris.

Sunday, July 14, 6 PM
Bastille Day
The Alliance Française & La Peg
Treat yourself to a buffet dinner and snacks from La Peg & Bistrot La Minette's Peter Woolsey, as well as a performance from Philadelphia's own John Jarboe. While you're enjoying your food and drinks, bid on a silent auction or enter a raffle, where the grand prize is tickets to Paris. Tickets are $110 for members and $140 for non-members, and they can be purchased here. (140 N Christopher Columbus Blvd.)
