Flying Fish will release their new Exit 9 Hoppy Scarlet Ale on March 9th. The launch party will take place from 6pm to 9pm at George Street Ale House in New Brunswick, but will quickly make a trip to Philadelphia for your enjoyment.
The Exit Series of beers all pay tribute to various locales off the NJ Turnpike, and have previously featured beers such as the Exit 4 American Tripel, the Exit 11 Hoppy American Wheat, and the Exit 13 Chocolate Stout.
Head brewer Casey Hughes informs us that the Hoppy Scarlet Ale is “assertively hopped with Amarillo, Centennial, Chinook and Citra hops for a bouquet with complex notes of citrus and tropical fruits with an appropriate bitterness in the finish.”
The Exit 9 is supposedly available in select places on draft now, but the official launch isn’t for a few days. If you’re one of the lucky ones, let us know!
