Three new happy hours have popped up recently, spread through almost all corners of the city. Marathon is continuing the theme of summer’s Center City SIPS with a Wednesday 5–7 PM deal of $2 beer, $3 wines, $4 cocktails and half-price appetizers at all five of their locations (two in Rittenhouse, Wash West, Midtown Village and Market Street).

West Philly’s Tria Wine Room has launched “Off the Beaten Vine,” a 4–6 PM happy hour that will feature uncommon varietals and unfamiliar regions. Monday–Saturday, the off-the-radar vintages will be available for just $5 per glass.

In Fishtown, the new Tuesday–Friday happy hour at Stephen Starr’s Frankford Hall gives guests an opportunity to sample the teutonic brews at discount: $5 for a half-liter or $10 for a full one. For an even better score, get the Bavarian soft pretzel plus a half of Victory Prima Pils for $6 (close to half off), or the $8 sausage-plus-draft option. Combined with the chance to play plenty of tipsy ping-pong, weekdays never looked so inviting.
