Where to Watch Euro Cup 2012 in Philadelphia

Euro Cup 2012 is reaching a fever pitch, with just the semifinals left before the ultimate championship, and while soccer has yet to really take off in our country, it’s definitely on it’s way. Plenty of bars in Philadelphia are hosting viewing parties for serious football fans, so check our list below of where to grab a beer and watch those Europeans go head to head.

The 700: The Northern Liberties soccer bar will be showing all of the matches, of course (700 N. 2nd St.; 215-413-3181).

Bierstube: Showing the games on Market Street in Old City — expect a strong bias for Germany from the fans here (206 Market St.; 215-922-6222).

City Tap House: Head to West Philly for $3 Yards Brawlers, Estrella Damms, and Murphy’s Irish Stouts during games (3925 Walnut St.; 215-662-0105).

Brauhaus Schmitz: The Teutonic beer hall will shut down South Street for a block party if Germany makes the finals (718 South St.; 267-909-8814).

Dark Horse Pub: One of the city’s most historic Old City pubs is showing all games in its multi-room bar (421 S. 2nd St.; 215-928-9307).

Field House: Be ultra-American and swig $3 Coors Lights in Reading Terminal Market during all games (1150 Filbert St.; 215-629-1520).

In Riva: Peroni specials highlight the country bias for the game at this East Falls Italian — look for $3 drafts and $10 pitchers (4116 Ridge Ave.; 215-438-4848).

New Wave Cafe: Catch the action on the corner of 3nd and Catherine with specials on Carlsberg and Long Trail brews (784 S. 3rd St.; 215-922-8484).

O’Neals: The Queen Village pub is showing all Euro Cup games (611 S. 3rd St..; 215-574-9495).

The Plough & the Stars: Old City's Irish pub is ready to show you a good time with your soccer (123 Chestnut St.; 215-733-0300).
