Cavanaugh's Rittenhouse Hosts PAWS for a Cause, September 6

What’s better than puppies? Puppies, beer and beer-flavored cupcakes! While no furry, four-legged friends will actually be at Rittenhouse sports bar Cavanaugh’s this Thursday, the PAWS for a Cause fundraiser will raise money to help them.

A quarter of your $20 entrance fee to the 8–10 PM event will go directly to the Philadelphia Animal Welfare Society (PAWS), a nonprofit dedicated to saving helpless, homeless, abandoned and abused animals. There will be an open bar, a buffet, a DJ and lots of giveaways throughout the night.

Appropriately, samples of Weyerbacher Last Chance IPA will be given out — a portion of proceeds from that beer also goes to animal welfare. Plus, Lexi Malmros of Beer Cakes Philly will be on site with special cupcakes made with the Last Chance brew.
