Panorama Sparkling Wine Flight: Three for $13 for 2013, December 26-31
It’s time to drink Champagne! Ristorante Panorama has designed a special sparkling wine flight to serve pre-fireworks (the wine bar is on Front Street, with a great view of Penn’s Landing), which features 2-oz. pours of three sparkling wines for just $13. But you don’t have to wait until New Year’s Eve to try the flight; it’s available every evening from December 26–31.
The “Three for $13 for 2013” flight includes some showstoppers: Brut Champagne “Yellow Label” Veuve Clicquot from France; Prosecco "Cuvée Béatrice, Extra Dry" Ca' Furlan from Italy; and Brut Cuvée “Pinot Noir/Chardonnay/Pinot Blanc, Methode Champenoise. Arroyo Grande Valley” Laetitia from California. Also available is the restaurant’s Sophisticated Sparklers flight, which features 1.5-oz. pours of five wines for $24.75.
Plan to head to Panorama on December 31, when the flight will be available from 3–6 PM. You can even dine á la carte from 4–6 PM. After that, there’s a special four-course prix fixe New Year’s Eve menu offered, and the $85 price even includes tax and gratuity (though not drinks). Reservations for the dinner are available for seating between 8:30–9:30 PM.
This is the perfect spot to pre- or post-game from the fireworks on the Delaware River, which kick off at both 6 PM and midnight. Cabs are next to impossible to get on New Year's Eve, so a close bar is just what you need to ring in 2013.
