Baberaham Lincoln
“If she were a president, she'd be Babe-raham Lincoln.” You’ll know the reference if you, like Gaal, are a Wayne’s World fan.
The sassy name parallels the tanginess of the corresponding drink. A base of slightly-smoky blended Scotch gets fresh lemon juice, which adds a noticeable acidic component, and Aperol, which presents flavors of bitter orange and rhubarb. The bitterness is balanced by Crème de Mure, a rich, French blackberry liquor. There’s also a tiny bit of absinthe that, while not a strong component of the drink, gives it a minty, cooling herbal finish.
