Known for pickleback shots, free beer Foursquare check-ins, spiked milkshakes, and hefty cheesesteak pretzel roll burgers, PYT is a place of casual plates of food and fun. But tucked behind the NoLibs spot is something of a slightly different style.

At the end of last year, PYT owner Tommy Up launched the 35-seat, craft cocktail  bar known as Emmanuelle. (In case you’re wondering, the name originates from a series of 1970s French softcore porn movies — movies that essentially kickstarted the genre.) Running the cozy spot, which is decked out with a grand piano for live jazz nights on Fridays, are longtime mixologist couple Phoebe Esmon and Christian Gaal.

Emmanuelle also recently launched a food menu, consisting of various charcuteries, house pickles, cheese from Valley Shepherd Creamery in RTM and flatbreads and crackers from Koo Zee Doo. Esmon makes homemade preserves to accompany the snack boards.
