With the renewed interest in eating and drinking local, it is no wonder that ciders are following in the wildly popular footprints of craft beer, and often compared to wine. Today we see that hard ciders and perries (cider made from pears) are enjoying quite a renaissance here in the United States.

This event will showcase the finest locally-produced and internationally-sourced ciders – more than 30 in all – being sampled on the picturesque grounds of the Parade Grounds of the Philadelphia Navy Yard.

The event will feature local favorites, best-selling U.S. produced ciders (including Angry Orchard and Woodchuck), and a variety of imported ciders and perries from England, Ireland, and Sweden.
