The Eagles are facing the New England Patriots this
Sunday, February 4 at 6:30 PM in Super Bowl LII, and Philadelphia bars are more than prepared. We’ve got tons of bars
offering special deals to fans on game day, and we even had a local brewery
place a huge bet on the home team. Now, we’re going to give you a list of where you can grab an Eagles-inspired and likely, very green, cocktail to celebrate our underdogs making it to the Championship!
The Eagle
Made with Philly’s own Bluecoat gin, muddled cucumber, lime juice and simple syrup—this cocktail will have you screaming E-A-G-L-E-S, EAGLES in no time. They’re also serving “The Patriot” (Bar Hill gin, Campari and lillet), which sounds delicious but we’re just going to have to pretend it’s not named that.
The G.O.A.T Killer
A booze-insufed smoothie awaits at this Lansdale distillery’s tasting room. The G.O.A.T (greatest of all time, eyeroll) Killer seeks to dishonor Tom Brady's healthy lifestyle by combining Boardroom Fresh Citrus flavored vodka with apple, kale, parsley, cucumber, celery and coconut water.
Bleeding Green Bloody Mary
As far as green drinks go, this one (pictured above) may take the ‘ship. This green bloody mary is concocted with cucumber, green apple, spinach, parsley, fresh horseradish, housemade hot sauce, black pepper, vodka and to tie it all together it’s garnished with a salty rim. Just like how all those Pat’s fan are going to feel extra salty come Monday AM.
Nick Foles #9
Here’s a cocktail for Eagles fans and whiskey lovers a like. Made with Eagle Rare whiskey, Nocino walnut liqueur, Montenegro amaro, honey and 2 dashes of bitters this cocktail is sure to have you feeling confident enough to win a Super Bowl yourself.
The Underdog
Visit Philly’s newest hotel in University City for another twist on a boozy green drink. “The Underdog” is made with Bluecoat gin, cucumber juice, Ginger Canton and pineapple—a delightful divergence from the norm, the feeling most of this country will relate to if the Patriots lose Sunday.
4th and 26
This No Lib’s brewpub is taking green beer to the next level with the “4th and 26”. Made with Urban Village’s Nectar apricot wheat ale, lemon lime soda and curacao—this cocktail will be unlike any green beer you’ve ever had, because it’ll actually taste good!
