Drink Philly and Spirit Forward Partner to Make the First Official Cocktail of Brewer's Plate

This year marks the 12th annual Brewer’s Plate and for the first time, cocktails will be served during the main event. Join Drink Philly and Spirit Forward this Sunday in the Drink Philly/Spirit Forward Lounge as we mix up the first official cocktail of Brewer’s Plate, the Cane and Grain.

The Lounge will feature local spirits from Phoenixville’s Bluebird Distilling and Pottstown’s Manatawny Still Works as well as beer from Victory Brewing. The Cane and Grain is an innovative beer cocktail featuring Bluebird Sugarcane Rum, lime, cinnamon, grapefruit, and topped off with Victory Vital IPA. This cocktail is sure to pair perfectly with the recent blast of beautiful spring weather.

In addition to the featured Cane and Grain cocktail, we will also be shaking up a few additional cocktails to show off some other amazing local spirits. The Green on Green cocktail is a fresh gin drink made with Bluebird Juniperus Gin, lemon, cucumber, and green tea. And finally, we’ll also have the Bottoms Up Punch. This punch features Manatawny Still Works Three Bitches Vodka, blueberry, citrus, chamomile, and apple shrub.

The Brewer’s Plate is this Sunday, March 13, at the Kimmel Center, and tickets are still available. Be sure to stop by the Drink Philly/Spirit Forward Lounge on the second floor and sample some fantastic cocktails with a local twist.
