Rittenhouse steakhouse Davio’s is stepping up its drink game with a heap of new booze-centric offerings. Through November 16, every Wednesday happy hour will be dedicated to a specific theme, focusing on topics like regional wine tastings, scotch or whiskey tastings, mixology lessons and more. The 5–7 PM events have no cover charge, and tastings are free (see the full calendar, below).
The good folks at this fine-dining Northern Italian are also looking out for people who have to stay away from wheat. $50 per person scores a seat at their October 11 gluten-free beer dinner, featuring four courses of gluten-free food, paired with Redbridge gluten-free beer and ciders from Magners. The menu includes spiced salmon tartar, prosciutto-wrapped scallops, braised lamb shank and more (call for reservations; 215-563-4810).
On the cocktail tip, Davio’s created a new Bombay Sapphire martini made with ice cubes infused with cucumber and coriander, and they’re offering it at lunch or dinner for $12.
