Capofitto Now Open, Serving Neapolitan Pizzas and Pouring Beers in Old City
John and Stephanie Reitano, the gelato tycoons who brought us Capogiro, are expanding the scope of artisan edibles they deal in with their latest venture, Capofitto.
Sure you can indulge in their decadent frozen delights at their just opened Old City outpost, but in addition to it, the new joint offers authentic Neapolitan-style pizzas fired in a custom-built wood-burning oven. Even bigger big news is, Capofitto is fully licensed to serve alcohol, which means you can get drinks, too. Details on the cocktail list, beers and wine are still a little nebulous.
The menu features nine different pies ranging from the classic Margherita to a mushroom and truffle laden Tartufella. Prices on pizza run from $12 to $19. Along with pizza, Capofitto also offers salads, antipasti, ripieno, a sort of calzone, and of course, desserts. Eater has the full menu, check it out here.
