Oregon-based McMenamin’s Edgefield Distillery makes a dry-hopped whiskey called Monkey Puzzle. Distillers began with a barrel of malt whiskey, then dry-hopped it with Teamaker hops that are known for having very little bitterness. They then sweeten the spirit with blackberry honey. The result is a hopped whiskey that has strong flavors of malt and vanilla-caramel with a finishing note of hoppy citrus and honey.
