7 Local Cocktails for Fall in Philadelphia |
Drink 7 of 7:
What would this list be without apples? Hitting the orchard and picking way too many apples is the first thing we do when fall arrives. Unlike us amateurs, Sassafras uses their bushels and pecks to make fresh apple cider, a key ingredient in their Crisp Apple Punch, a bourbon cocktail mixed with allspice, nutmeg, whole cloves, cinnamon, star anise, and candied ginger. Wearing a flannel shirt while drinking this is basically a pre-requisite.
Much like the leaves on the trees, these cocktails are subject to change, and probably soon. After all, creativity doesn’t hibernate, so you should definitely sample these cocktails before egg nog and Mad Elf season sneaks up on you.
