Lemon Society Speakeasy to Benefit Alex's Lemonade Stand, April 13
At the top of a skyscraper in the Pyramid Club, Philadelphians will gather in Saturday, April 13, for another gala speakeasy, all in the name of raising money for a good cause. After a smashing debut last year, the Lemon Society Speakeasy of Alex’s Lemonade Stand Foundation is back with another party centered around the art of mixology and the fun eating and drinking that goes along with it.
Guests to the 8–11 PM event will taste custom drinks from some of Philly’s best bartenders, and get to vote on their favorite. A panel of judges that includes our own editor, Danya Henninger, will also taste and rank the entries to the contest. Along with sipping creative cocktails, guests will snack all night on elegant party food. Tickets are $75 per person, available here.
The featured bartenders contesting for the Spirit of the Speakeasy prize include:
– Meredith Maciolek, Philadelphia Distilling
– Phoebe Esmon and Christian Gaal, Emmanuelle
– Al Sotak, The Franklin Mortgage & Investment Co.
– Mike Falcey, Alla Spina
– Dave Tang and Anne Frey, 1 Tippling Pl.
There will be a DJ spinning both 1920s period speakeasy music and modern tunes, and there’s a big dance floor, so come dressed in your finest flapper outfits. There will be a photographer on site to capture all great costumes.
